Musings of the Mad

I don’t normally cry after I finish poems. Only rarely. This one left me in tears.

I promise you they didn’t find Troy
Or Gilgamesh’s Tomb.
Nor did they find Crete,
In Mother’s Aegean womb.
Rome is not historic.
It’s a Greek word meaning ‘power.’
Nor is Babylon,
Or Babel’s massive tower.
The Old Testament was written,
Before there was a ‘Rome.’
The Earth is not a planet.
Nay, it is a Home.
