How to Pray

Withered Fig, Golden Mountain, Black Vulture.
I took this photo of the Alpha (It’s a Mother so I am naming her Nekhbet) black vulture in the committee of vultures in the neighborhood. She flies directly over my head very low when I am outside my apartment sometimes which is a sign of trust. She is trying to get a detailed look at what I am carrying. I cut her out and inserted her here which is damn appropriate.

My life is complete ‘cause
I know how to pray.
I know what will happ’n at the
End of the day.
And fuck, it’s already goddamn Saturday!
(That’s when I am writing this poem, punk–Today.)

21 And Peter calling it to mind said to him: Rabbi, See, the fig-tree that thou cursedst has withered.

22 And Jesus answered and said to them: Have faith in God.

23 Verily I say to you that whoever shall say to this mountain: Be taken up and thrown into the sea, and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that what he says shall take place, it shall be done for him.

24 Wherefore I say to you, all things whatever you pray for and ask, believe that you receive, and you shall have them.

Garth said “Some of God’s greatest gifts are unanswered prayers.”

Not because prayers don’t necessitate and answer, but because it teaches you HOW to pray. Do you know how to pray? It’s right there in Mark.

I wrote this 2-years ago and it was before “The people hath forsaken me,” had even come to pass. But dammit that is now and it doesn’t fucking matter because a holy priest gave me a road map. A Seven Nation Army cannot hold me back.
