an original poem by Benjamin Stone

I live in a land of Lost Boys
They grew up when I refused.
That’s why they are all so angry at me now.
They’re so goddamned confused.
They remember fighting pirates —
Protecting Tiger Lily—
We had great times back then.
They’re mad at me ‘cause I am still silly,
And they were told those days had to end
I don’t know what to do but to live my life.
You can’t bring someone back from lost.
And if you try, well, then you’ll grow up too!
It cannot be worth the damn cost.
