Elihu Vedder – The Fates Gathering in the Stars

I need to write.
I might do it all night.
Is it night outside?
I don’t know.
I can’t abide light.
It’s just too damn bright,
And it
Causes me pain
In the midst of this rain.

I’ll right this damn boat soon.
It’s being tossed now.
But at least it is floating
Though I don’t know how.
I look out the only win-
Dow and I see Her.
She’s holding it up herself.
Can’t wait to meet Her.
We have a reunion at
Eight—
Can’t be late.
It’s not even a date.
It’s more like, well, um, Fate.
