Shrouded in Mystery

This is a poem from a poetry notebook I kept in 1998. I’m editing it very slightly.

Shrouded in mystery,

Thriving on fear—

My life will be golden if

I persevere.

Given the strength to be

More than mere man,

Everyone will make it.

Few think they can.

Uniquely me,

I am

Thankfully free.

Watch me now sparkle

So promisingly.
